So I bet I get asked this about 10 times a week! Baby bear has these big bright blue eyes! I have green and dh has hazel ---- and when people ask they are looking at our eyes with a confused look on their faces! So I am trying to think of a good/cute response to tell people ---- any ideas?

If you're looking to avoid conversation, you could say something like, "From her genes, of course!" When nosy strangers have asked about my kids' different skin tones, I sometimes just respond that they have different genetic backgrounds.
When people comment on Puppy's eyes, I usually just say that he gets them from his birth father.
good ideas heather! I think what throws people with us is that it is not obvious that she is adopted - her hair and skin color is like ours - just not the eyes! but if/when we adopt again -- our child will probably have another skin tone and hair texture - so I wonder if we will still get the questions? probably - lol!
She has beautiful blue eyes! I agree with heather and say her genes...or God gave them to her!
I get that question all the time about my blue eyed, blond adopted little guy. Who lives with brown haired and brown eyed siblings and parents. I always say he gets them from God.
"We picked them out of a hat." Smart ass questions get smart ass answers. But, if they are being nice.... maybe just say it's genetics with no details. I tend to be a smart ass.... LOL
