Relay For Life
Well this year we lost a dear friend to cancer and my Aunt survived stage 4 lung cancer! So We wanted Kassidy to walk in the kiddie lap at our local relay for life and she just loved it! I was so proud of her- I know she is too young to understand but still it felt good just to be there and support the cause, and it was kinda like she knew she was doing something important---but we had loads of fun. She got to ride the pony and then when we get home she actually requested grits for supper! She calls them gets! And then ended the night playing with mommy and daddy in her room---She is such a blessing and we are so so blessed to have a healthy child! When they did the survivors lap and there were kids walking that hit home with me and let me say once again -- Thank you God that my child is healthy!

That sounds like lots of fun!
oh that's so awesome, they have something for kids to be involved with. I'm sorry to hear you lost a friend and praying your Aunt remains cancer free.
She's sooo cute in pigtails!!! Our health is certainly something that is so easy to take for granted. My dad is having surgery for prostate cancer this month, and my mil just started chemo a week ago for lymphoma. Thankfully they have the more "treatable" kinds of cancer but still I just hate that word "cancer" UGH!!! Paul and I have both lost several family members to cancer and just a couple of months ago a friend of mine (only 57) died of pancreatic cancer.
Those are adorable pics! What a fun, improtant and meaningful experience!
